I am so excited for you! You have waited for Wedding day all of your life. You may have been planning for your wedding ceremony for a very long time. The last few months you have been consumed with so many choices to make. So many details, what venue, what photographer. What band or DJ that will create the ambiance you want for your party of parties…
BUT the Wedding Ceremony itself is the most important part of the day, of your life. So the Wedding Officiant you have stand before you and preside over your ceremony is very crucial. Your Wedding Ceremony is about YOU, the bride and groom. It is about your commitment to EACH OTHER before God, your friends and family.
As an ordained minister, with 40 years’ experience as a pastor, I have officiated 856 happy couples‘ wedding ceremonies…and counting… In Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties in South Florida as well as New York. Many of these have been interfaith ceremonies. I work with each couple individually, taking elements from each of your denominational tradition(s). Then I create a personalized sacred and joyful interfaith wedding ceremony. So it is meaningful to each of you and both of you as a couple.
We meet in my home for a Consultation in order to get to know one another better. So you feel comfortable with the minister that stands before you as you vow to love each other for the rest of your lives. I would be happy to give you some direction concerning your wedding music, another important element of your ceremony.
We then meet again a couple of weeks prior to the wedding ceremony. This time we talk about the specifics of the actual ceremony. In addition to the traditional, or not so traditional vows, I recommend that you each write your own personal vows to each other.. These will be read during the ceremony. If it is not practical to meet personally we can meet through Skype.
As you prepare for your Florida wedding, you may not have a “home church”. You may not have a pastor that you have known for years. You may be planning to have a destination wedding with a few close family and friends. As your Wedding Minister it would be my joy to perform a meaningful Personal, Sacred, & Joyful Ceremony as you make your lifetime commitment to each other.
