CONSULTATION
In preparation for your Wedding I prefer that we have a consultation initially for us to get to know each other. It also assists me in knowing what optional elements of the Wedding Ceremony you would like to include.
If you are interested in having Esther perform on the harp for your Wedding Ceremony you can also meet with her at this time as well.
You will find Sample Wedding Ceremonies on my website that you can use as is. Or you can adapt one of them to reflect the two of you and your commitment to each other. Take some time prior our meeting to think about what you would like incorporated into your Wedding Ceremony.
There are optional elements listed here on my website that you might like to use in your Wedding Ceremony. You might want the Unity Candle, Sand Ceremony, or Rose Ceremony. You may also choose an Old Testament and/or New Testament reading listed on the website. Or a secular poem that is meaningful to you both.
You might wish to write out a short note about how you two met for me to read. This makes your ceremony more meaningful.
The Wedding Ceremony is always more meaningful when you each take the time to write a portion of your vows. It does not need to be lengthy. But it should reflect your personality and commitment to each other.
Plan to meet for another Consultation approximately 2 weeks before the Ceremony. That way you are fresh in my mind for the Wedding Ceremony. At tht time we will go over the specific details of the order of the Ceremony. That way that you feel comfortable on the day.
REHEARSAL
If your Wedding is taking place at a hotel or country club, it is generally not necessary for me to be at the Rehearsal. The purpose of the wedding Rehearsal is so that everyone knows when to walk and to where. Either your wedding planner or the on-site coordinator will be in charge of that. I will already have gone through the actual ceremony with you at the second consultation. However, if is on the beach, at a park, or anywhere there is not a coordinator, it is highly recommended that I attend the Rehearsal. There is an additional nominal charge for me to attend.
